WemoLab Launches Tablet App Around Ocean Education

Venice-based WemoLab--which has been developing entertainment products around an oceanic theme--announced today that it has launched its first, mobile product, a new interactive tablet app. The firm said its app, SuperFugu, let kids take a "field trip" around the world's ocean. The app is free, and runs on the iPad. WemoLab, which is led by Neville Spiteri, has been developing an extensive, educational platform focused on teaching kids about the oceans. The firm's co-founders include technology and entertainment vets Neville Spiteri, Scott Yara and Anthony Batt, and the company has raised funding from angel investors such as Digital Garage (Joi Ito) and others.
