Engrade Gets $5M More For Education Management Tools

Santa Monica-based Engrade announced this morning that it has raised $5M in a Series B funding round, for the company's district-level education platform. The funding was led by Javelin Venture Partners, and also included Rethink Education, Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, Kapor Capital, Expansion Capital and Ed-Mentor. Engrade's cloud based tools are aimed at helping teachers, school administrators, and others by unifying all of a district's software and systems. The company said its tools provide single-sign on of all of a district's third party applications, and helps manage curriculum planning and evaluation, instruction, and assessment through the cloud. Engrade's CEO is Zach Posner. The firm said its tools are already being used at more than 40,000 schools around the world. More information »
