Recargo Acquired By Innogy

El Segundo-based Recargo, the operator of PlugShare, an electric vehicle charging application, has been acquired by German energy giant innogy, via its US subsidiary, innogy eMobility US LLC. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Recargo's PlugShare provides information on charging stations, including reviews, photos, and other information, all for EV drivers. Recargo also provides data on charging activity drawn from its app, to charging providers, municipalities, and government and business customers. According to innogy, the acquisition will help it expand it solution portfolio, and also its position in the American market. Recargo's CEO is Brian Kariger.
