Lionsgate Taps OUYA Founder Uhrman As Streaming Media GM

Santa Monica-based entertainment studio Lionsgate said on Thursday that it has named Julie Uhrman to the position of Executive Vice President & General Manager of Lionsgate Over-The-Top (OTT) Ventures, the company's streaming media service. Uhrman was previously Head of Platform Business Development at Jaunt,and was the founder and CEO of Android game controller developer OUYA. Uhrman also has served at IGN Entertainment and Vivendi Universal. Lionsgate said Uhrman will spearhead continued rollout of Lionsgate's streaming services, in addition to new opportunities.
