RealD Lands Chinese Theater Chain

Los Angeles-based RealD, which provides 3D movie projection technology, said over the weekend that it has inked a deal with Chinese language film producer and distributor Mei Ah Entertainment Group Limited (MAEG), to install its 3D technology across one hundred screens in China. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. RealD said the effort is part of MAEG's efforts to expand within the Chinese theatrical market. MAEG is apparently working on expanding with five hundred new screens over the next five years in China.
