MySpace Partners On Web Reality Show, Launches Presidential Pledge Effort

MySpace said today that it has launched a new web reality show with reality entertainment producer Endemol, and separately, has launched a promotion along with Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Media linked to the upcoming Presidential Inauguration. According to MySpace, it will launched a new reality web series called "Get Married on MySpace," which will award a couple what the firm describes as "the wedding of their dreams" in exchange for letting people on MySpace plan and view their wedding. MySpace users will select the bride's dress, rings, and wedding location through a voting system. Terms of the deal with Endemol were not disclosed. In the Katalyst Media effort, MySpace is featuring a slate of celebrity pledges to serve President-elect Barack Obama, where celebrities talk about how they will take action to give back to the nation. That effort--located at a special Presidential Pledge section--features videos directed by Demi Moore, and will also allow for users to upload their own video pledges.
