JMI Equity Backs HackerRank In $30M Funding

JMI Equity, a private equity investor which has one of its two offices in La Jolla, is the lead investor in HackerRank, a startup which operates an online platform to help companies identify and evaluate technical talent. JMI Equity lead a $30M in a Series C funding round according to HackerRank, and also included Khosla Ventures, Battery Ventures, Randstad Innovation Fund, and Chartline Capital Partners. HackerRank, which is based in Palo Alto, says it has now raised $58.2M in funding. Suken Vakil of JMI Equity joins the company's board as a result of the funding. More information »
