Fullscreen Gets Funding For YouTube Network

Fullscreen, the online entertainment video site headed by George Strompolos, announced this morning that it has raised a round of Series A funding. Size of the funding was not announced. The round came from The Chernin Group along with Comcast Ventures and WPP. According to FullScreen, the new funding will go towards domestic and intentional expansion, in the areas of technology, audience development and sales. Strompolos helped co-create the YouTube Partner Program. Fullscreen said its clients include NBCUniversal and Ryan Seacrest Productions, and that it now has a network of over 10,000 channels, 150 million subscribers, and 2.5 billion monthly views.
