SpaceX Files Paperwork for Satellite Network

In a filing to the US Federal Communications Commission, Space Exploration Technologies Corp laid out details about its plans for a 4,425-strong satellite network, reports the BBC. SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said last year that the service would be “larger than anything that has been talked about to date,” adding that it would take about $10 billion to put into orbit.


AMC Networks has acquired a minority stake in Funny or Die

AMC Networks has acquired a minority stake in Funny or Die for an undisclosed amount, reports the L.A. Business Journal. AMC’s IFC comedy cable channel will create deeper ties with Funny or Die, including airing its programming and collaborating on ad sales.

Warner Bros. Acquires Machinima in Nine Figure Deal

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire the remainder of Machinima, an online gaming culture and streaming content platform, reports the L.A. Business Journal. The deal values the company in the nine figure range, according to sources close to the deal.
