Eventful Adds Twitter Hashtags

San Diego-based Eventful, an online service which lists local entertainment events, said this morning that it has launched a standard hashtag index for local events on its site. Hashtags are used by users of Twitter to link together related tweets on the site. Eventful said it is listing hashtags on each event's detail page on the site, and will also allow users to add their own hashtag suggestions. Access to the hashtags will also be available via the company's API.
