Glytch Finds Series A Funding

Los Angeles-based Glytch, a startup which says it is combining location-based entertainment with professional esports arenas, says it has raised a Series A funding round, led by Benevolent Capital. Size of the investment was not announced. Glytch said that Benevolent Capital, led by Brett Johnson, has acquired the majority of its preferred Series A funding. The company said it previously received funding from Joe Montana's Liquid2.vc fund. Benevolent's Brett Johnson joins the company's board. Johnson is co-chairman and part owner of the Phoenix Rising Football Club, and the owner of FC Tucson. Michael Williams is CEO and founder of Glytch, which says it is working on its first location in Los Angeles, the first of a series of esports arenas with location-based entertainment and upscale food and beverage.
