Today marks another great day for the LA startup community as one of the city’s prominent mentoring programs, Launchpad LA, received VC funding – for each startup. Every startup selected and entering into the program will be awarded $50,000 in VC funding, mentoring, and free office space in Santa Monica area within walking distance of the Third Street Promenade.

According to sources there are several funds and firms participating in the investment of the startups including, Rincon Ventures, Idealab, Baroda Ventures, GRP Partners, David Cohen, David Tisch, DLA Piper and Stubbs Alderton.

As part of the commitment each local firm will be basing themselves out of the dedicated office space at least 1 day / week and plan to spend time actively with any and all companies admitted into the class.

Congratulations Launchpad LA, and those who have an idea or a company looking for opportunities and one of the best networks to make it grow…apply now.
