portfolioThe online job search is one of the biggest online tools used.  Who isn’t looking for a job?  Who isn’t looking forward to changing or growing their careers?  Who isn’t satisfied with their pay or position?  And who isn’t looking for a job right out of college?  The founders of thePortfolium thought about the same thing too and decided to help, especially for those starting out in life after college.

Resumes are what determine potential job hires, but employers only have a small amount of time to review each person.  Resumes are sent in by the hundreds, even thousands a day to a single company.   New job searches are creating algorithms where employers can search for specific qualifications needed, but again they are left with guessing who is qualified and who is not.  The team at thePortfolium wants to raise awareness of each individual’s profile and to do that they created a website dedicated on helping people advertise themselves.

To become a potential new hire, you need an account.  Sign up with LinkedIn or through email and start building your profile.  Add a picture, a resume, and some information about your work history.  The biggest difference found in thePortfolium compared to other similar sites, is the ability to create a portfolio of all your work.  Not only are you able to showcase your work and achievements, but it gives employers a better look at what you have learned and the experience you have gained.

job searchUsers can also view other profiles and view the various portfolio work created.  Connect with others within your same field and interests, or branch off and network with new and exciting markets that you never thought of being a part of.  thePortfolium is giving people this opportunity to reach out and become a real quality candidate for companies.  thePortfolium is also a great tool for employers and educators.  Employers can add job posting and message potential candidates.  They can also view and search specific profiles to reach certain people and connect in new ways.  Educators can showcase their students’ work and have students collaborate and build a portfolio together.

thePortfolium is new, but the idea of posting portfolio of your greatest achievements is what will make thePortfolium into a winner.  When the community gets larger, so will the number of companies that will follow thePorfolium.  The opportunity to be known is there and the ideas take it far beyond the competitors.  All thePorfolium needs is you to go and show yourself off to the world.

Go create a portfolio!
