How do you take a business you started as your own personal web site, and turn it into an online powerhouse, completely bootstrapped, from the little town of Ojai, California--not exactly known as a technology town? Bruce and I met at the Art Center, and that was when I first discovered the web. At the time, I got Lynda.com.

I started a web design company, and ended up going to college in Florida, but kept on running the company on the side. Pluto TV was one of those ideas I had when I was sitting with my daughter, looking for YouTube videos for her. That's the idea that sparked Pluto TV. We then launched Pluto TV.

After directing a film in 2009, I wanted to get back into the design industry. Initially, my desire to go into the mobile space came from my love for design and my weariness with web or print related art. After nearly 15 years designing, there was little I hadn’t done. Mobile design is a different beast.
