Acacia Taps Broadcom Vet As New VP

Newport Beach-based Acacia Research, the patent portfolio and licensing firm, said today that it has named David Rosmann as Senior Vice President. Rosmann has previously served as Vice President, Intellectual Property Litigation at Broadcom Corporation, where he managed the firm's IP litigation efforts for over ten years. Acacia said that Rosmann managed Broadcom's litigation against Intel, ST Microelectronics, LSI corporation, National Semiconductor, Agere, and Qualcomm. Rosmann has also previously served at Irell & Manella LLP.
