LAVA Names Kovacs As President

The Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), which supports local startups and emerging-growth companies, has named entrepreneur Kimberly Kovacs as the group's new President, according to the group. Kovacs co-founded OptionEase, and also is managing director of Arroyo Ventures and is the founder and CEO of MyJane, a startup online wellness community. LAVA also said it has added Chris Wadden, the President of the Pasadena Angels as Treasurer of the group, and Shuki Lehavi, the CEO of Amiggi, as its secretary. LAVA's day to day operations are managed by Executive Director Len Lanzai. LAVA says it has recently been working on strengthening ties across the region with the Innovation Network of Southern California (INSoCal) with OCTANe and the San Diego Venture Group.
