LegalZoom Launches New Attorney Service

Glendale-based LegalZoom.com, the online provider of legal documents, has launched a new service this morning, saying it will start providing one-on-one consultations with licensed attorneys through its site. LegalZoom said the new service comes "without shocking bills or expensive hourly fees." LegalZoome explained that, in most states, users will be able to access an experienced attorney for free, and after an initial trial, will pay a low monthly fee for advice from an attorney on "virtually any legal matter." The cost of that monthly fee was not disclosed by the company. LegalZoom is venture backed by such companies as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and IVP.
