Wildfire Losses In California To Cost $400 Billion, Says Report

The devastating string of wildfires in California in 2018 will cause a total economic loss of $400 billion, according to numbers calculated by weather forecasting company AccuWeather. According to AccuWeather's Global Weather Center, it is predicting that total economic losses due to a string of devastating wildfires in 2018 will tally to $400 billion in 2018, which it says would make it the most expensive natural disaster in the history of the United States. AccuWeather did not say if it is only including the impact from the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, California and the Woolsey Fire, which hit Calabasas, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, and surrounding areas, or if it tallied up losses for what have been many large wildfires in California this year.
