Slacker Ties Into T-Mobile

San Diego-based personalized radio service Slacker has inked a deal with T-Mobile, where T-Mobile will include the application directly on a smart phone. According to Slacker, T-Mobile USA customers using BlackBerry Curve 8520 smart phones will now see an icon for the application on their phones which will trigger a download of its application. Previously, customers had to go to T-Mobile or Slacker's web site to download the application. Slacker operates a personalized Internet radio service, accessible via PC, Slacker's own media players, as well as Blackberry and other smart phones. The firm is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Centennial Ventures, Mission Ventures, Rho Ventures, and Sevin Rosen Funds.
