AppOnboard Signs Customers For Mobile App Demo Technology

Los Angeles-based AppOnboard, the developer of mobile app demo technology led by Jonathan Zweig, says that it now has such app developers as FoxNext Games, Game Insight, Superheart Studios, Jam City, Huuuge Games, and Simple Habit using its tools. According to the startup, those cutomers are some of the developers who are using its tools to enable Google Play Instant apps via its "App Store Demos" product, which it launched in August. AppOnboard's technology lets developers create playable apps and games which can accessed, without download, as a preview within the Google Play store. AppOnboard said that it is finding its tools and that playable apps and games are particularly popular in India and Brazil, due to those countries' lack of comprehensive 3G/4G coverage and WiFi options. AppOnboard is venture-backed by Korea Investment Partners (KIP), Mirae Asset Management, Mantaray, MTG, Ophir Capital Group, Runa Capital, Troy Capital Partners, 500 Startups and London Venture Partners.
