AeroVironment Wins EV Charger Deal with Volvo

Monrovia, California-based AeroVironment has been selected by auto manufacturer Volvo Cars, to develop a custom electric vehicle (EV) charging station, the company announced on Thursday. According to AeroVironment, it will develop a custom, global EV charging station for Volvo, to support Volvo's customers in Europe, China, and North America. Financial details of the deal were not announced. AeroVironment said its charging station for Volvo will allow drivers to charge their vehicles up to three times faster than the standard Volvo cordset included with Volvo's XC90 plug-in hybrid.
