AeroVironment Launches New Drone For Farm Analytics

Monrovia, California-based AeroVironment has launched its commercial drones into the agriculture market, said on Wednesday that it has launched the Quantex hybrid drone and related analytics software, specifically for the agriculture market. The new drone and software bundle, which costs $16,500, allows farmers to collect and use aerial imagery--including both true color and multispectral imagery--allowing for better decision making and farm management. The drone automatically collects real-time imagery of a farm, and stores and processes that imagery for historical trend analysis and other analytics functions.
