AeroVironment Deploys UAV With Royal Canadian Navy

Monrovia, California-based Aerovironment, which develops unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the military and other markets, reported a win this week with the Royal Canadian Navy. Aerovironment said the Royal Canadian Navy is deploying its Puma II AE, a maritime mini unmanned aircraft system, on the RCN's Maritime Coastal Defence Vessels. Financial details of the contract were not announced. AeroVironment said that Canada's military has previously purchased its Raven UAS.
