Aerovironment Aims At $248M Army Award

Monrovia, California-based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) maker Aerovironment reported on Monday that it has been selected to compete on a "task order" for the U.S. Army, for unmanned aerial aircraft. According to Aerovironment, it has been selected to compete to provide unmanned aircraft systems and spare parts, valued at $248M over five years. Aerovironment said it, along with six other suppliers, will compete to delivery unmanned aircraft systems in the five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
