AeroVironment Wins $13M USAF Award

Monrovia, California-based Aerovironment, which develops unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the military market, reports that it has received a $13M contract from the United States Air Force. According to AeroVironment, the new contract award covers support of Latin America and Caribbean nations with its RQ-11B Raven drone. AeroVironment said the contract is expected to run until September 28, 2023. AeroVironment says its Raven UAS wlil be deployed by the U.S. Southern Command, across Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
