TrueCar Updates Used Car Valuation Site

Santa Monica-based TrueCar, the car pricing and information site, said Monday that it has updated its ClearBook used car valuation site. ClearBook was originally launched in February. TrueCar said the updated, ClearBook 2.0 service provides expected sale price, recommended list price, and trade-in price for "tens of thousands" of makes and models of vehicles, and pulls data from current sales from across the country; prices are derived from used car values in a user's individual zip code. TrueCar is headed by Scott Painter.
