M-Go Rolls Out On Vizio, Takes On Netflix

Culver City-based digital entertainment service provider M-GO--a joint venture of DreamWorks Animation and Technicolor--announced Thursday that its digital entertainment service has rolled out on Vizio smart TVs and Internet appliances, allowing users to see new movies and TV shows, ahead of Netflix. According to M-GO, the move allows Vizio's smart TV and Co-Star streaming players with access to the company's library of movies and TV shows from a wide range of studios. M-Go, which is a joint venture of DreamWorks Animation and Technicolor, said the service gives users unlimited access to movies and TV shows, specifically pointing out that access will come much earlier than competing services from Netflix.

Content available through the service includes movies and TV shows from NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox & Warner Bros. M-GO had inked a deal in September with those studios to carry their content. The company's service also is available on Android, iOS, and Windows, and the company also has deals with Intel and Samsung.
