Snap Sued By BlackBerry Over Patents

Venice, California-based Snap has been sued by BlackBerry Ltd., in a patent infringement suite filed with the U.S. District Court, Central District of California (Los Angeles)--the result of a patent litigation push by BlackBerry Ltd. as it seeks new revenue sources. The lawsuit, BlackBerry Ltd. v. Snap Inc., looks similar to another lawsuit filed by Blackberry last month against Facebook, alleging Snapchat's app uses messaging technology owned by the company.
