Signal Sciences Rolls New Application Security Product

Los Angeles-based Signal Sciences, the developer of web application firewall and security software which is venture backed by Lead Edge Capital, CRV, Index Ventures, Harrison Metal and OATV, has expanded its product lineup, saying on Tuesday that it has added a new application security product for Envoy. Envoy is a load balancing product. According to Signal Sciences, the expansion will help protect cloud-native apps and services which have been proxied with Envoy, which is typically deployed in the Kubernetes microservices and container environment. Pricing on the new product was not announced.
