Zyxel Rolls New Powerline Networking Product

Anaheim-based networking equipment maker Zyxel said today that it has launched a new, powerline networking product, which provides Gigabit Ethernet speeds through a home's wiring. According to the company, its new PLA6546 G.hn Wave 2 powerline adapters plug into any outlet in a home, and deliver speeds of up to 2,400 Mbps between rooms. The company's products, sold in sets of two, retail at $99.99. The company said the new adapters are twice as fast as existing, HomePlug AV standards, with better anti-interference performance and reliability.
