SpaceX Moving Some Starship Prototyping To Texas

Hawthorne-based SpaceX is reportedly getting set to move some parts of the prototyping of its big, Mars-bound passenger rocket--the Starship (formerly known as the BFR)--to Texas, according to reports on Wednesday. Although initial reports said the production and development of the spaceships would be moving entirely to Texas, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk rebutted that report on Twitter that information is "incorrect", and the company will continue to do development of its Starship and Raptor rockets out its headquarters in Hawthorne. Instead, Musk said the move is just the build of prototypes of its Starship at its launch site in Texas, saying the size of those prototypes makes them "very difficult to transport". SpaceX renamed its BFR (Officially known as "Big Falcon Rocket", but often referred to as "Big F***ing Rocket") to Starship in November.
