Kumbaya Joins Off Grid Solar Energy Group

Rancho Palos Verdes-based Kumbaya, a startup developing devices that combine solar power, batteries, lighting, TV and radio, and a computer designed for deployment in third world countries, says it has joined the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA). GOGLA is a not-for-profit industry association that serves as the voice of the off-grid solar energy industry, and has over 130 companies and organizations as members. Kumbaya's flagship product is the zeroXess, a solar power device aimed for "off-grid communities", which includes a touchscreen, solar panels, LED lighting, USB charger, TV, radio, weather sensors, and much more. Mike Freni is founder and CEO of Kumbaya.
