ReachLocal Names New CEO

Wooland Hills-based ReachLocal said this morning that it has named Sharon Rowlands as the company's new Chief Executive Officer, as well as a member of the company's board of directors. Rowlands was most recently CEO of Altegrity, and also had served at CEO of Penton Media, in addition to Thomson Financial. She also had served on the boards of ADP and Constant Contact. Rowlands replaces interim CEO David Carlick, who remains Chairman of the board. ReachLocal has been on the prowl for a new CEO since September, when founder and CEO Zorik Gordon suddenly departed the company. ReachLocal is a provider of online marketing services for small and medium sized businesses, helping them to place search ads to drive customers to their business.
