WiSpry Opens Research Office In Denmark

Irvine-based WiSpry, which develops tunable, radio frequency (RF) semiconductors, announced today that it has opened up a new research and development office in Aalborg, Denmark. The new office is the firm's first internationally. WiSpry said that the new office is near Aaalborg University, the home of Professor Gert Frolund, who the firm says is working closely with the company on RF and antenna technology. WiSpry said it was supported by Invest in Denmark, NOVI, Aalborg University and the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation in establishing the new office. WiSpry is venture backed by Acadia Woods Partners, American River Ventures, Arkian, Blueprint Ventures, Chart Venture Partners, DoCoMo, Hotung Capital Management, In-Q-Tel, L Capital Partners, Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Paladin Capital, Shepherd Ventures, and the Tech Coast Angels.
