UCLA, Leica Team On Microscopy Research Center

The California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at UCLA and scientific equipment developer Leica Microsystems said on Friday that the two have linked together with a new "center of excellence in microscopy". According to the two, the new center will be called the Leica Microsystems Center of Excellence (CoE), and will help educate the next generation of scientists and engineers and drive new scientific discoveries. The two said the new center features confocal microscopy technology from Leica, including 3D STED, digital light sheet, super-resolution and multiphoton imaging to capture dynamic processes at the molecular level.
