Good Eggs Gets Funding For Grocery Delivery In LA

Good Eggs, an online, local grocery delivery service which has been piloting its services in Los Angeles, has raised $8.5M in a funding round from Sequoia Capital, the company said Thursday. The Bay Area startup said the funding was led by Sequoia Capital, and also included Harrison Metal, Baseline Ventures, Collaborative Fund, Kapor Capital, along with angels. Good Egg currently delivers food from local vendors and farmers on a fixed schedule across Los Angeles, ranging from the Westside to the San Gabriel Valley, covering such cities as Santa Monica and Culver City on the west, to Monrovia and part of El Monte on the East. The company is based in San Francisco, and also has been piloting its service in Brooklyn and New Orleans. More information »
