Mission Finds $15M For AWS Managed Services, Consulting

Los Angeles-based Mission, a startup providing managed services and consulting for Amazon Web Services, has raised $15M in a funding round, from private equity investor Great Hill Partners. According to Mission, it will use the new funding to expand its team, technology, system, and go-to-market. Mission said it provides services providing AWS solutions in three major areas--Southern California, Northern California, and the Northeast. Mission was founded by CEO Simon Anderson, who previously was CEO of web hosting firm DreamHost, and also co-founded software-defined storage software developer Inktank, which he sold to Red Hat for $175M. Mission says that so far, Great Hill Partners has committed up to $75M, with approximately $40M now invested in the company. More information »
