DroneBase Gets $12M For Drone Services, Software

Los Angeles-based DroneBase, a provider of professional drone pilots, as well as a developer of enterprise software used to collect and process data from drones, has raised $12M in a Series B funding. According to DroneBase, the funding was co-led by Union Square Ventures and Upfront Ventures, and also included DJI, Hearst Ventures, and Pritzker Group. DroneBase says its services are being used by enterprise clients in the areas of real estate, insurance, telecommunications, construction, and media. The company has now raised more than $17M in total. DroneBase is led by co-founder and CEO Dan Burton. More information »
