SpaceX Has Successful Launch Mission From West Coast

Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX successfully launched a mission from Vandenberg Air Force Base, just north of Santa Barbara, on Tuesday morning, and also successfully landed the first stage of the Falcon 9 on base--only the second time SpaceX has landed the first stage of a Falcon 9 on land on the west coast. The launch--which occurred at 7:17 a.m. through a thick marine layer--was for the RADARSAT Constellation Mission, a set of three, Earth observation satellites for the Government of Canada. The SpaceX Falcon 9 that was used in the launch, and which was successfully recovered, was previously used in the March 2019 Crew Dragon demonstration flight by SpaceX.
