SpaceX Launches More Satellites, Breaks Reuse Record

Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX has once again successfully launched another set of Starlink satellites into space on Tuesday morning, breaking a re-use record for the first stage of a Falcon 9 booster rocket in the process. SpaceX launched 58 Starlink satellites and three Planet SkySats in the launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, at 10:31AM EDT. The launch and landing--the sixth for that particular Falcon 9 booster--sets a record for re-use for the SpaceX rockets. The Falcon 9 used in this launch was also used in the Telstar 18 VANTAGE mission in September 2018, the Iridium-8 mission in January 2019, and three separate Starlink missions in May 2019, January 2020, and June 2020.
