Dexcom Buys TypeZero Technologies

San Diego-based DexCom has acquired TypeZero Technologies, a developer of diabetes management systems and technology, the company said late Wednesday. According to DexCom, which makes continuous glucose monitoring devices, the deal will help it enhance its offerings with tools to simplify diabetes management. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. TypeZero Technologies' technology automatically adjusts and regulates insulin delivery. According to DexCom, it expects to commercially launch a system using inControl's algorithm in 2019.
