Flo Technologies Launches Pilot In LA

Los Angeles-based Flo Technologies, which develops technology to help monitor water usage and help prevent water damage in homes, has launched a pilot program in Los Angeles. According to Flo, the new pilot program--which is being funded by the Metropolitan Water District's Innovative Conservation Program--Flo said it will provide up to 150 of its devices, plus professional installation, to qualified Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) owners free of charge. Flo said the 12-month pilot program will analyze the water usage of those customers before- and after- the installation of a Flo device, and will be used to demonstrate the efficacy of the company's device in reducing water usage. Flo did not say how much the grant from the MWD is worth. The MWD's program is funded by the Bureau of Reclamation, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Western Resource Advocates, Southern Nevada Water Authority, Central Arizona Project and Southern California Gas Company.
