Esri Offers Up Free GIS Software For COVID-19 Response

Redland-based mapping and GIS software developer Esri says it will offer up its software for free to public and private sector organizations fighting the COVID-19 disease pandemic. According to Esri, it has created a template for public health agencies and other organizations, which it is offering up for no cost for six months. The company said its ArcGIS Hub Coronavirus Resposne template includes examples, materials, and configurations to help rapidly deploy its products for public health agencies and others. The company says its data sets already include data usable by those organizations, including case locations and social vulnerability.
