Cylance Launches Virtual Chief Information Security Officer Service

Irvine-based cybersecurity software developer Cylance has launched a new service, intended to help companies patch the inability to fill the holes they have in the cybersecurity area, which will provide a "virtual Chief Information Security Officer" (CISO). According to Cylance, the new "CISO-in-a-Box" offering will help organizations by providing critical technology and security resources, and staff augmentation to help identify, assess, and communicate security risks to their management teams and boards of directors. Pricing on the new offering were not announced. According to Cylance, it will use automation and artifact analysis to collect information and assess data, and help identify likely security scenarios to build risk profiles, recommend actions, and highlight internal strengths at its clients.
