Crowdstrike Eyes IPO, Hires Investment Banker

CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity software developer which has major operations in Irvine, has hired an IPO banker and is eyeing an IPO before the end of the year, according to a report from Reuters. According to the report, CrowdStrike has hired Goldman Sachs to run its IPO process. No other details of the IPO have yet been announced or released. CrowdStrike is led by veteran cybersecurity executive George Kurtz, and raised a big funding round in January. The company was most recently valued at more than $3 billion. Kurtz was the co-founder of another, big Irvine cybersecurity company, Foundstone, which he sold to McAfee back in 2004; Kurtz then became Chief Technical Officer at McAfee.
