Amgen CFO To Retire

Thousand Oaks-based biotech giant Amgen said today that its CFO, David W. Meline, is planning to retire, serving as CFO through the end of 2019, but will remain at the company through the second quarter of 2020. Meline--who has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Amgen since 2014--will be replaced by Peter H. Griffith. Griffith recently joined Amgen as Executive Vice President, Finance, and previously had been at private equity and advisory firm Sherwood Canyon Group, LLC, serving as President; prior to Sherwood Canyon Group, Griffith had been a partner for almost 22 years at EY, most recently serving as EY's Global Vice Chair, Corporate Development.
