Esri Debuts New COVID-19 Tracking Tool

Redlands, California-based GIS giant Esri--well known for powering many of the dashboards tracking the global COVID-19 pandemic--has rolled out a new tool to help people in the United States figure out how they are doing, compared with the rest of the nation. The new Esri CovidPulse tool allows the public, as well as decision makers, to track county-by-county data on COVID-19 pandemic trends. That data classifies each county under categories ranging from "emergent" and "epidemic" to "controlled" and "no cases". Esri said the tool is designed to help communities decide if they should begin to reopen schools and businesses, continueurrent restrictions, or ramp up mitigation efforts.
