RoyaltyShare Extends Canadian Services

San Diego-based RoyaltyShare, a provider of digital royalty accounting for music publishers, said today that it has expanded its royalty services for Canadian music labels. The firm said it now can process mechanical royalties owed to the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) and Canadian based publishers. RoyaltyShare offers software-as-a-service used to monitor and aggregate sales data for music publishers from online retailers such as iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic, and helps them to calculate the royalties owed to artists, producers, and others. The firm is venture backed by William Morris, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments and Trident Capital.
