TrueCar Inc., the Santa Monica-based online car-buying marketplace, has named three executives to its expanded management team and has added a member to the company’s board.

On Sept. 16, TrueCar said it had created two new roles, chief operating officer and chief consumer officer, on its executive team.

TrueCar said in a statement that the changes are part of the company’s strategic restructuring “in support of the company’s next phase of growth.”

Automotive technology veteran Kristin Slanina joins TrueCar as chief operating officer. She will be responsible for business value and growth around TrueCar’s strategic partnerships with retailers, original equipment manufacturers and other business-to-business partners.

Slanina joins TrueCar from information technology consulting organization Thirdware Solution Inc., where she served as chief transformation officer. She also had more than 20 years of experience at automaker Ford Motor Co.

Beth Mach joins TrueCar as the company’s first chief consumer officer. Mach has more than 20 years of experience in media planning, buying and strategy for Fortune 500 companies. She will be responsible for driving innovation and growth around consumer value for TrueCar.

In addition, the company promoted engineering lead Elias Rokos to chief technology officer. Rokos, who joined TrueCar in 2011, has held roles including vice president of architecture and senior vice president of technology at the company.

“I’m incredibly excited and proud of the talent and diversity in our new leadership team and strongly believe we have the right team of employees in place to execute on our vision and propel our business forward,” TrueCar President and Chief Executive Mike Darrow said in a statement.

Along with the management moves, TrueCar announced that former KPMG audit partner Barbara Carbone joined its board in August.

Carbone, a retired audit partner, had more than 30 years of experience in accounting- and auditing-related roles at KPMG, a multinational accounting and advisory firm. She currently serves on the KPMG Retired Partners Council.
