Twiistup's New Owners Revealed

The new owners of Los Angeles technology event Twiistup, which is now being managed by Francisco Dao, have finally come out, almost a year after the popular technology networking and conference was sold by Mike Macadaan. The event--which Macadaan sold in May of last year--is now owned by a group of angel investors, including Neil Patel, Andy Sack, Geoff Entress, Andy Liu, John Cunningham, Bob Senoff, and David Niu. According to Francisco Dao, the investor group is headed by Neil Patel, and came out ahead of the launch of two new major events in Dana Point -- The Retreat -- and one in New York, the Startup Summit. The new owners of Twiistup have been fairly quiet about their involvement, although rumors of Patel's involvement have been floating around LA's tech community since the sale last year.
